Winter is back with a vengeance

Consider the new technology and save money at the same time.

New Technology Cold Climate Heat Pumps.

Heat Pumps use electricity as its energy source. The new high efficiency heat pumps can deliver up to $3 of heat for $1.00 of electricity used.
To the uninitiated, heat pumps use outside air and are used for both heating and cooling of your home,  transferring heat between the outside air and inside air. (reverse of  air conditioning process).
In the warmer months, the heat pump works as an air conditioner, removing heat from the air inside your home and transferring it outside.
During colder months, heat from outdoor air is moved into the inside air of your home.
Heat Pumps today can pull heat even down to below zero degrees, making them acceptable to climates where the temperature drops below freezing. Previous generations of heat pumps needed auxiliary heat souce.

Heat pumps  maintain temperature and humidity levels your home all year long. With the new technology, these can work without backup to single digit temperatures. If  you own a home in in an area with severe temperatures you may need supplemental heating  or keep your existing heating system as a backup.
Your heat pump system pulls the air from throughout your home running the air through either the return in a central system or each indoor unit in a ductless system. In either case new air filtration improves the air quality throughout your home, removing airborne allergens. By running  the system, you will reduce the opportunity for colds and flu viruses to settle on surfaces where they can transfer to you or your family,.

The noise levels of these new generation systems continue to get quieter.  The indoor noise level is similar to what you have in the summer. The condenser is still located outside and the inside noise is what the blower fan produces which is much lower than a furnace. .
